Discover your pathway

Post-secondary planning can cause confusion and panic for students and their families. There are so many choices - it can feel overwhelming! With years of experience, I have learned that young people need someone who will listen with understanding to instil hope for ALL their possibilities.

Let me help make a positive impact!

When to start planning?

Grade 10 and 11 post-secondary planning

Grade 10 and 11

A great time to start post-secondary planning with course selection, career and programme exploration. I offer guidance on extra-curricular activities related to arts and culture, athletics, sciences, service and leadership, work experience, and volunteer opportunities both in school and in the community that can complement your academic profile.

Grade 12 post-secondary planning

Grade 12

There is still time to explore your possibilities. Your grad year is very busy with events, applications, supplementals and scholarship deadlines that can start in September. Planning early affords you time to decide your best pathway that highlights your strengths and interests for your first launch upon graduation.

Discover all your possibilities

  • College and University

What you do in grades 9, 10, and 11 can have a big impact on your applications written early in your grade 12 year. Many post-secondary institutions are taking a more holistic approach to their application progress that can include your grades (9-12) and written responses about your learnings from meaningful experiences.

  • Trades and Apprentice

You could be working in a trade of interest, earning money, learning from certified experts and still graduate on time! The Industry Training Authority (ITA) Youth Programs allow you to explore a trade while completing your high school diploma.

  • GAP Year

This can be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you so, it is important to plan for a purposeful year . Determine if a GAP year is right for you to study, work and explore abroad.

  • Early Career Decisions

Your resume, cover letter and interview skills may need revitalizing to get you a job. For high school students seeking part-time work experience and graduates hoping to secure full-time employment I can help make it happen.
